When you set up a blog you need as much help as you can get to give you ideas & inspiration, keep up with your blogging schedule, find out about new tools and ‘widgets’, find out what’s going on in the blogosphere in general, and just keep you at it!
Blogging can be time consuming, and at times, quite difficult, so here are a few resources that I hope will help you to make your blog a fun and rewarding activity, and also help you to develop your blog:
1. Problogger – probably one of the best resources on the net for bloggers with ideas and inspiration to keep your blog interesting for you and your readers.
2. Technorati – leading website & directory where you can find a blog on any subject (which are graded by their ‘authority’ i.e how important the blog is), a huge amount of stats on the blogosphere itself, and the place for you to ‘claim’ your blog in the blogosphere.
3. Lorelle on WordPress – great blog to help you learn more about blogging and WordPress with help, tips, advice, and techniques for blogging.
4. The Blog Herald – daily blog & social media tips with contributions from various well-known bloggers.
5. Copyblogger – great resource with copywriting tips, not just for blogs but for writing for the web.
Hopefully these sites will whet your appetite to develop your blog, and don’t forget to subscribe to them via their feed (see here for my recent explanation), or to be kept up to date by email. Happy Blogging!
