Sorry, Were You Looking for an Easy Option?

Magic Business PillSam and I are going to be presenting a short talk entitled: ’7 Ways to Get More Clients with Social Media Marketing’ next week to around 40 local small business owners – who will probably have varying levels of experience & understanding of the internet.

You’ve probably guessed by now that we’re both pretty enthusiastic about all the low cost and no cost marketing possibilities Social Media Marketing opens up for small businesses!

We’ll be doing our best to share these possibilities with our audience next week and raise awareness of how social media marketing works.

As I was putting the finishing touches to my part of the talk this morning, I had a little case of deja vu!

I just know we’ll be asked the question: ‘Where am I supposed to find the time to do all this social media marketing?’ (or words to that effect).

A couple of answers come to mind.

The first is that there are shortcuts and automation tools to help you have a greater online presence for less time & effort, and we’ll be pleased to help you learn and apply them.

The second answer is that you don’t HAVE to do any of this, we just want you to know what’s available so you can make an informed decision about how you spend your marketing time. Let’s face it, you wouldn’t do every single offline marketing activity – and you don’t have to take part in all the social media options.

I sometimes think people believe social media marketing is a magic pill to solve all business problems, without the need to do any of the hard work. If only that were true ;)

We do understand how it can all seem overwhelming and recommend you start off using one or two social media tools, get them working, and then you can add more and build up your online presence gradually, at a pace that’s right for you.
