Background:
D W Plastics is a plastics extrusion manufacturer based in Chichester, West Sussex. They provide bespoke design and manufacturing of extruded plastic
products for a range of customers worldwide.
Objectives:
D W Plastics have been promoting their website via online advertising campaigns for some time. In 2010 the company decided it was time to update their online presence and commissioned a brand new website that could be optimised for the search engines. The ultimate aim was to have a more interactive site that would attract more enquiries and could be updated regularly to provide further information about the company, their services and the type of products manufactured.
Solution:
The new website was launched in summer 2010 and a fresh online marketing campaign began with search engine optimisation (SEO). The goals were to gain more traffic and visitors to the site through organic listings and reduce existing Adwords campaign costs. To achieve these results, Sam helped D W Plastics to identify keywords that could be used to optimise the web pages and would direct targeted traffic and enquiries. In addition relevant online directories were selected that the company could be listed in, which would drive additional traffic and enquiries outside of the search engines.
Results:
Within a couple of months of launching the new site, organic traffic from Google increased by 44%, with increases of 38% on Bing and 58% on Yahoo. The SEO campaign has not only increased the number of visits from the search engines’ organic results, but improved the company’s online profile and presence, and increased the number of enquiries being received by telephone and through the website.
